The Fraser Valley Real Estate Board recently published the statistics for the Fraser Valley real estate market for October 2016.
Sales were up slightly and inventory hit a 10 year low.
Sales activity was healthy in October, especially in the townhome and apartment categories. With prices beginning to level-off, it appears that buyers are becoming more motivated to explore the Valley’s available inventory.
Here are some of the key numbers for Fraser Valley for October 2016:
- There were 1,465 sales for the month – down 17.4% over October 2015 and up 12.1% over September 2016
- There were 2,197 new listings for the month – up 1.9% over October 2015 and down 18.9% over September 2016
- There were 6,035 active listings for the month – down 7.7% over October 2015 and down 6.0% over September 2016
- The average price was $616,402 for the month – up 1.7% over October 2015 and up 3.4% over September 2016.
